EXPERIENCE
We ordered a flight of oysters with a half dozen raw and a half dozen roasted. Our food came out quickly and was delivered by a very charismatic waiter. He provided a full explanation of each variety, how it was farmed and harvested, as well as the taste profile. That interaction completely elevated our dining experience and made us that much more eager to dive into the oysters and compare them to one another. The oysters were incredible fresh and flavorful - only accentuated by the accoutrement served with them not overpowered. There were noticeable differences between the varieties and it was a fun to be able to compare and contrast them.

EXPERIENCE
We stumbled upon the Oyster Saloon driving down highway 101 on our way back to Portland. We quickly fell in love with the atmosphere which embodied the laid-back Pacific Northwest vibe. There were kids playing on a hill of oyster shells, dogs happily sitting next to their owners glad to be included in the day’s outing, and people enjoying good food and the outdoors at the same time. We grabbed our dog from the car, ordered at the counter and settled into a picnic table under a tent. The food, service, and environment made for such a fun experience which was only enhanced when you learn about the history and mission of the business.
CONCLUSIONS & RECOMMENDATIONS
Absolutely worth a visit - especially to break up a long road trip up or down highway 101
We recommend trying the flight of oysters to get to compare the different varieties and cooking methods - it made for such a fun dining experience
Don’t leave your dog at home, they will love enjoying this with you
