Push X Pull
- An industrial vibe with fantastic espresso drinks -
COFFEE & MENU - unique offerings | cheerful mugs
Standard offering of espresso drinks using their own roasted beans - focus on naturals, honeys, anaerobics and unique & fruity coffee’s they discover
Small selection of local pastries from “Mosh PDX”
What we ordered: Americano with steamed almond milk & The Susan latte
Both drinks were fantastic. The Susan is made with cinnamon and honey and is a must try. It’s beautifully balanced with just the right amount of sweetness to perk up the latte. The Americano was rich and smooth - a classic.
ATMOSPHERE & SERVICE - industrial | bright & open
The owner Christopher Hall started roasting his own coffee beans in 2012, then moved to popups around town, and finally opened the coffee shop in Jan 2018.
The interior is very industrial which matches the neighborhood. There are concrete floors, high ceilings, and big windows that let in a ton of great light.
The espresso drinks are served in colorful mugs on top of a saucer which adds a nice touch.
The seating is a combination of wooden benches or wooden chairs that aren’t the most comfortable for a long stay but do the trick for a coffee date. The non-communal tables are large enough to fit 4 comfortably if you have a group of friends joining you.
RATING & CONCLUSIONS - great specials | rating 4.5*
The espresso is delicious and unlike some of the other coffee shops their specials are not all seasonal and can be enjoyed year round (The Susan).
The space is open and airy with plenty of space between tables to give you some privacy to get work done or enjoy catching up with friends.
We enjoyed the industrial aesthetic but would enjoy a more comfortable seating arrangement if we were going to spend longer at the coffee shop.
