Standard offering of espresso drinks using their own locally roasted beans + several seasonal menu items with fun flavors (Popcorn latte prepared 3 ways - movie theater, kettle, caramel)
Their menu is completely plant based with options for either Oat, Soy, Coconut or Almond milk
Small selection of vegan pastries prepared in-house and procured from local bakeries
What we ordered: Americano with steamed soy milk & Almond milk latte
We really enjoyed both drinks. The coffee was smooth and strong with a nice foam top despite the plant based milk. The almond milk latte had a light sweetness from the almond milk and the americano was a classic and one of the better variations we’ve had in Portland. The barista told us they roast their coffee beans just down the street for an east-coast medium roast that is slightly milder than a lot of what you see on the west coast.

Started in 2023 by Brenda and Joe to craft a fully plant based coffee experience in Portland’s central eastside corridor.
The space is small and narrow which makes sense when you learn it used to be an old elevator shaft and you can see notes of that old character represented within the space balanced by new modern charm.
There is a small seating space situated at the back of the shop up a few stairs overlooking the coffee bar. There are a handful of bistro tables along a built in bench with fun wood stump stools on the opposite side.
The staff were very friendly and delivered our coffee’s to us.
The espresso drinks are served in really unique ceramic mugs that had a rough textured base a smooth glazed top section which made for a great mouth feel when enjoying the drinks.
RATING & CONCLUSIONS - vegan or not good coffee | rating 4*
The plant-based menu should not be a deterrent - this coffee shop delivers well executed coffee everyone will enjoy
The location is cute and has character but not ideal for a long coffee date given the limited seating and close proximity to other tables. But a great option if you are in the area and need a quick stop for an elevated coffee drink or want to experience some of their fun seasonal flavors.
